JENNIE JONES

I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, as a fitness instructor, Personal Trainer & Sports Therapist.  I competed in triathlon for 10 years & I was a complete beginner.  I had to learn to swim front crawl, ride a real bike & run outdoors as I had spent many years training in a gym.  I started with Sprint & Olympic & built right up to  completing an Ironman distance race in Austria & then again the following year in Roth, Germany.   Due to an ongoing degenerative hip injury I had to retire as could no longer run without pain.  This was when I decided to get qualified as a BTA Level 2 Diploma Triathlon Coach so that I could share my passion for the sport, experience & motivate others to achieve their goals.

My sporting life did not end there though, I went on to complete an unsupported cycle from Lands End to John O Groats including climbing the 3 peaks on the way too (why not!).  Then the following year I cycled the length of Ireland also unsupported & in the pouring rain (when does it not rain in Ireland!)   I still now swim, road & mountain bike, wall climb, strength train & other fun activities like skate boarding & roller blading.

I have always had a passion for sport, right from a young age & this passion crosses into my coaching where I always go that extra mile to help others reach their goals.
