ABOUT ME

JENNIE JONES

I have been in the fitness industry for over 30 years, as a fitness instructor, Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist.  I competed in triathlon for 10 years where I started as a complete beginner.  I had to learn to swim front crawl, ride a real bike and run outdoors as I had spent many years training with weights in a gym.  I started with Sprint and Olympic and built up to completing Ironman Austria and then another Ironman distance race the following year called Challenge Roth in Germany.   Due to an ongoing degenerative hip injury I had to retire as could no longer run without pain.  This was when I decided to get qualified as a triathlon coach and I am now a British Triathlon Level 3 High Performing Triathlon Coach, so that I could share my passion for the sport, experience and motivate others to achieve their goals. I have also recently qualified as Biomechanics Coach, see the Biomechanics section where I explain what a Biomechanics Coach is.

My sporting life did not end there though, I went on to complete an unsupported cycle from Lands End to John O Groats including climbing the 3 peaks on the way too (why not!). Then the following year I cycled the length of Ireland also unsupported and in the pouring rain (when does it not rain in Ireland!)   I still now swim, road and mountain bike, wall climb, strength train and other fun activities like skate boarding, roller blading and surfing.

I have always had a passion for sport, right from a young age and this passion crosses into my coaching where I always go that extra mile to help others reach their goals.

So if you are thinking of a new challenge whether that is completing a triathlon, Ironman, qualifying for a World Championship, or even an event in one of these individual sports, then I can help you achieve your goals and make you a healthier human a long the way!
